1. Introduction

1.1 HandyHand Pte. Ltd. ("HandyHand", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and recognises the importance of protecting the personal data entrusted to us. We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore ("PDPA") and any other applicable laws and regulations governing the collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal data.

1.2 This Privacy Policy explains how HandyHand collects, uses, processes, discloses, stores, transfers, retains and protects your personal data when you access or use the HandyHand mobile application, website and all related products, features and services (collectively, the "Platform").

1.3 HandyHand operates solely as a technology marketplace that facilitates connections between customers seeking services and independent third-party service providers offering such services. We do not provide the underlying services ourselves. This Privacy Policy governs only the manner in which HandyHand handles personal data collected through the Platform and does not govern the independent privacy practices of individual service providers.

1.4 By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform, communicating with us, providing your personal data or otherwise interacting with HandyHand, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data as described herein, subject always to your rights under applicable law.

1.5 If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

2.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who interact with HandyHand through the Platform, including customers, vendors, independent contractors, beauticians, cleaners, movers, laundry providers, recyclers, drivers, runners, applicants, prospective business partners and visitors.

2.2 This Privacy Policy applies regardless of whether you access the Platform through a mobile application, website or any other electronic interface provided by HandyHand.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 "Personal Data" means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data alone or together with other information to which HandyHand has or is likely to have access.

3.2 Depending upon the services you use, we may collect your full name, username, residential address, service address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, profile photograph and other identifying information.

3.3 We may collect booking information including requested services, preferred appointment dates and times, booking history, cancellation history, service completion records, communications between users, invoices, receipts and transaction records.

3.4 Where necessary for vendor onboarding or regulatory compliance, we may collect business registration details, UEN, NRIC, FIN or passport information, licences, permits, certifications, insurance information, bank account information for payouts and tax-related information.

3.5 We may collect photographs, videos, audio recordings and other content uploaded through the Platform, including photographs of recyclable items, household items, damaged property, laundry items, moving inventory, beauty consultations or other materials relevant to the requested services.

3.6 We may collect technical information such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, application version, language settings, mobile network information, crash reports, cookies, analytics data and device performance information.

3.7 Where location permissions are granted, we may collect real-time or approximate geographical location data to facilitate bookings, identify nearby service providers, optimise routing and improve the operation of the Platform.

3.8 We may collect communications exchanged through the Platform, including customer support enquiries, complaints, feedback, reviews, ratings, messages, dispute resolution communications and records of interactions with our personnel.

3.9 We may also collect information from third parties where authorised by you or permitted by law, including payment providers, identity verification services such as Singpass or MyInfo, law enforcement authorities and regulatory agencies.

4. How We Collect Personal Data

4.1 Personal data may be collected directly from you when you create an account, complete registration forms, submit identification documents, upload photographs, request services, provide services, communicate with us or otherwise use the Platform.

4.2 We may automatically collect technical information through cookies, analytics tools, application logs, device identifiers and similar technologies used to operate and improve the Platform.

4.3 We may receive personal data from other users where they provide your information in connection with bookings, deliveries or referrals.

4.4 We may also receive personal data from service providers, payment processors, business partners, insurers, regulators or other third parties where such disclosure is authorised or required by law.

5. Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure

5.1 We collect, use and disclose personal data for purposes reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and provide our services.

5.2 These purposes include creating and administering user accounts, verifying identities, facilitating bookings, matching customers with service providers, processing payments, administering refunds, issuing invoices, communicating with users, resolving disputes, investigating complaints and maintaining customer support.

5.3 We may also use personal data to improve our Platform, analyse user behaviour, develop new features, conduct market research, improve customer experience, perform internal audits, maintain records, detect fraud, investigate suspicious activity and protect the security of the Platform.

5.4 Personal data may also be processed to comply with legal obligations, court orders, regulatory requirements, law enforcement requests and insurance requirements, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

5.5 Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before using your personal data for purposes not previously notified to you.

6. Disclosure of Personal Data

6.1 We may disclose your personal data to independent service providers where necessary to enable them to perform the services requested through the Platform.

6.2 We may disclose personal data to payment processors, cloud hosting providers, technology vendors, data storage providers, insurers, auditors, accountants, lawyers, consultants, contractors and other professional advisers engaged by HandyHand.

6.3 We may disclose personal data where required by law or where reasonably necessary to cooperate with governmental authorities, regulators, courts, tribunals or law enforcement agencies.

6.4 In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, sale of assets or similar transaction, personal data may be transferred to the relevant successor entity, subject to applicable law.

6.5 HandyHand does not sell personal data to third parties.

7. Overseas Transfers

7.1 Certain technology providers engaged by HandyHand may process or store personal data outside Singapore.

7.2 Where overseas transfers occur, HandyHand will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA, including through contractual safeguards where appropriate.

8. Data Security

8.1 HandyHand maintains reasonable administrative, organisational, physical and technical security measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks.

8.2 These measures may include encryption, secure hosting environments, firewalls, password protection, role-based access controls, authentication procedures, system monitoring, audit logs and periodic security reviews.

8.3 While we strive to protect personal data, no electronic storage system or method of internet transmission is entirely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention of Personal Data

9.1 HandyHand retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required or permitted by law.

9.2 Personal data may also be retained for accounting, audit, regulatory, insurance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, litigation, enforcement or business continuity purposes.

9.3 Once retention is no longer necessary, personal data will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

10. Your Rights

10.1 Subject to the PDPA and applicable law, you may request access to your personal data held by HandyHand.

10.2 You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

10.3 You may withdraw consent previously given for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

10.4 Withdrawal of consent may affect HandyHand's ability to continue providing certain services or maintaining your account.

11. Cookies and Analytics

11.1 HandyHand may use cookies, software development kits (SDKs), analytics services and similar technologies to improve functionality, remember user preferences, analyse traffic, detect fraud and enhance user experience.

11.2 You may manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings, although certain Platform features may no longer function properly if cookies are disabled.

12. Marketing Communications

12.1 Subject to applicable law, HandyHand may send marketing communications regarding promotions, new services, events, loyalty programmes and other offerings.

12.2 Marketing communications may be sent by email, SMS, WhatsApp, telephone calls, in-app notifications or push notifications.

12.3 You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time without affecting your use of the Platform.

13. Data Breach Management

13.1 HandyHand maintains internal procedures for identifying, investigating, containing and responding to suspected personal data breaches.

13.2 Where required under the PDPA, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals within the applicable statutory timeframes.

14. Children's Privacy

14.1 The Platform is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or otherwise possess legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

14.2 We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate legal authority.

15. Amendments

15.1 HandyHand may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business, technology, legal requirements or operational practices.

15.2 The updated version will be published on the Platform together with its effective date.

15.3 Continued use of the Platform following publication of amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

16.3 We will endeavour to respond to all reasonable requests as soon as reasonably practicable and, where applicable, within the time required under the PDPA.

17. Governing Law

17.1 This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

17.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
